How AI was incorporated into the BRFchat app

BRFchat.ai was developed as an Artificial Intelligence-powered conversational software. It has several AI capabilities that help companies improve their operational needs and interaction with clients.
One of the main features of BRFchat is the integration of Artificial Intelligence to make it function.
BRF Consulting Full Stack Developer Gabriel Azevedo contributed to both the front end experience and the backend structure that supports the application.
“A significant part of my work has focused on the AI capabilities of BRFchat,” Azevedo notes. “I helped structure how the platform connects with external AI services, how company knowledge is provided to the AI agents, and how the instructions and business rules behind each agent are organized.”
What are BRFchat’s main AI capabilities?
One of the main areas developed was the structure behind BRFchat’s AI agents.
“We wanted companies to be able to create agents that communicate naturally while also understanding their specific business context,” Azevedo affirms.
These agents can be configured with specific company information, including its products, services, internal knowledge, frequently asked questions, and business processes.
“The goal was not simply to create an automated chatbot, but to provide a more personalized and human-centered customer experience,” he explains. “The agent can represent the company more consistently and access a broader range of information much faster than a traditional predefined question-and-answer bot.”
That allows the AI agents to support different types of conversations, from answering customer questions, collecting lead information, to directing the conversation to a human, when necessary.

In fact, another special aspect of BRFchat is the collaboration between artificial intelligence and human teams. The goal of the platform is not simply to replace people with automation. Instead, AI can support the first stages of a customer interaction by answering initial questions, collecting relevant information, identifying the customer’s needs, and organizing the conversation before a human team member becomes involved.
“For me, this balance is one of the most valuable parts of the project,” he says. “BRFchat is not only about automating conversations, it is about helping people provide better service with the support of technology.”
When the conversation requires deeper knowledge and empathy, it can be transferred to the appropriate company’s personnel who will have access to more contextualized information, so they don’t need to restart the conversation or ask the customer to repeat information that has already been provided.
“This creates a more efficient experience for the company while also making the interaction smoother for the customer,” he says. “AI handles repetitive and organizational tasks, while people remain responsible for the moments where human judgment and personal connection matter most.”
Therefore, there’s a centralized conversation experience. BRFchat brings customer interactions into a single environment, allowing team members to manage conversations while managers and administrators have a broader view of what is happening across the operation.
“This visibility is important because customer conversations often represent the public face of a company,” Azevedo states.
“A centralized platform can help managers understand how customers are being supported, how conversations are progressing, and how their teams are performing.”
Though it has an AI-powered knowledge base, BRFchat can use approved company content from a variety of sources, including internal text and images, websites, YouTube videos, and uploaded PDF, TXT, Markdown, and DOCX files.
“Instead of pulling generic answers off the internet or a search engine, the AI agent answers only from a company’s real business data, so the AI actually knows your business,” asserts Lucas Guerra, BRF Consulting’s Full Stack Developer. “You just give the agent a prompt and plug in your content, and it figures out how to answer a customer naturally straight from your website.”
For example, BRFchat can consult a company’s Salesforce Agentforce agents to retrieve approved business information and use it to generate a contextualized response for the customer.
“If a customer asks what is the best car in the market, BRFchat can answer with the car company’s best model, including photos and other relevant information that is not typically returned by search engines or ChatGPT, which is looking for the public content on the internet,” BRF Consulting’s Founder Angelo Buss, remarks.
This matters because, “the customer gets sharper, more trustworthy answers, and the business is never locked into a single provider,” Guerra adds.
“BRFchat always runs on the best AI for the job.”
For Azevedo, this makes the platform easier to configure “because companies can reuse materials they already have instead of manually writing every possible question and answer.”
As such, BRFchat can run several different conversational AI agents at once, each with its own personality, name, and job. The agents can even choose a specific AI model to power them to communicate with customers, answer questions about the company, and assist with lead qualification.
So, during development, different AI models and configurations were evaluated.
“The objective was to find a balance between response quality, speed and the amount of business context the model could understand,” Azevedo notes.
He adds, “The lead capture agent can naturally collect information during a conversation, such as contact details, company information, and the customer’s needs. So, instead of relying only on fixed forms, the system can identify this information throughout the conversation and organize it for the company’s team.”
“Together, these features help make customer service faster, more consistent, and easier to personalize, while still allowing human team members to take control whenever their participation is needed,” Azevedo asserts.
And while the app currently connects to OpenAI, Google Gemini, and AgentForce, BRF is considering integrating it with other AI tools in the market.
“BRFchat is flexible enough to plug into other modern models as they come out, so you're always on the latest technology,” Guerra explains.
“This isn't some generic chatbot. It runs on real large language models (LLMs) and the most advanced AI tools on the market today.”
